Imagine my trusty kaleidoscope. Bright. Colourful. Ready for Change.
Now imagine that it has transformed entirely into a baton for a relay race.
This is an image that I often turn to when describing Life Coaching - what it is and what it is not. Professional Life Coaching uniquely positions itself between therapy and self-help. It takes the baton from the therapist’s hand and places it firmly into that of the runner.
And, like every good relay racer, it doesn't let go until the runner is ready to run with it.
Of course, you don’t have to have been in therapy to benefit from coaching. My point is simply that they are not the same thing.
Life Coaching; What It Is (and isn’t)
Life coaching occupies a unique and powerful space, it bridges the gap between therapy and self-help. It's not about diagnosing or treating mental health conditions, nor is it about simply handing you a self-help book and wishing you well. Instead, life coaching is a dynamic, forward-focused partnership. In a confidential setting, it provides wisdom, respect, and professionalism as you navigate your path forward, helping you gain clarity, define your goals, and build actionable strategies to achieve them.
Life coaching stands firmly in the present, with an eye on your future. We explore your strengths, identify limiting beliefs, and empower you to unlock your full potential.
It's about proactive growth, building resilience, and equipping you with the tools to prevent burnout and create a life that feels both purposeful and sustainable.
Is Life Coaching For Me?
Life Coaching relies on your own readiness for change. It is for those times when you feel stuck, when you're facing a significant change, or when you simply know there's more you want to achieve but aren't sure how to get there. Ultimately, it is about self-development; building confidence, making intentional choices and cultivating a mindset that supports your aspirations.
When you're ready to explore your next steps in safe, confidential, and professional hands, get in touch and discover how coaching can empower you to move forward with purpose and clarity.

Katie is a young professional who started coaching sessions after life threw her a curve ball and a friend recommended me:
“I came to the coaching process off the back of the latest in a number of redundancies. I was feeling very low in confidence and unable to discern what my next steps should be.
I am in such a better place as a result of the sessions. I am able to get up and face doing day to day things that had become overwhelming before. My trust in myself and in my own capacity is hugely increased, and I feel confident that I can go into challenging scenarios with a good set of tools available to me.
The experience has been fantastic and I would absolutely return to coaching again in the future. I think it is a fantastic tool that has helped me look forwards with a positive
outlook and to manage the challenges that life might throw at me.”
PS Yes - she accepted an amazing job offer the week after our sessions were completed 😉
